Weimaraner Puppies
The Weimaraner breed is sometimes known as the “grey ghost” and is the most striking of the gun dog breeds. Weimaraners are intelligent, friendly and protective. Weimaraner puppies can grow on average to 22″ to 27″ (56 to 68cm) tall and the adult Weimaraner can weigh between 70 to 86 pounds (32 to 39kg).
Weimaraner puppies come in two coat types, long haired and the most common short haired but are both silver in colour. They have a short coat which is easy to take care of and only needs brushing once or twice a week to remove any dead hair.
The Weimaraner is a country dog at heart, and needs a well fenced garden. He does not adapt well to small areas such as apartments or houses with very small gardens. An adult Weimaraner needs at least one long walk a day with the opportunity for off lead exercise. The ideal owner needs to be physically strong and mentally firm when training, as he can be a little head strong.
This breed would make the ideal pet for an outdoor loving family. If Weimaraner puppies are socialised from a young age they should get on well with other dogs and cats but should always be watched around small animals.
