Golden Retriever Puppies
The Golden Retriever is very much like the Labrador in that they are an excellent family pet and all-round
kind of dog.
Golden Retriever puppies can grow from 20″ to 24″ (51 to 61 cm)tall and weigh on average 60 to 80pounds(27 to36kg).
Unlike the Labrador, our Golden Retriever puppies for sale come in one colour and that is, unsurprisingly, golden, howeve, they do range from light cream to a red gold.
Their coat varies in length and thickness but all varieties need brushing at least one a week.
Golden Retrievers would prefer to live in the country but will be just as happy with town life as long as they have a large enough garden and ample time to run free from the lead when out walking.
Golden Retriever puppies are intelligent and very eager to learn which makes them an ideal family pet as the whole family can get involved at training times.
Like Labradors, there is a strong pervasive kindness and gentleness with Golden Retrievers, always ready to flash their trademark ‘smile’ as they cock their head slightly to one side.
Even the most hardened of dog-haters tend to be won over by Golden Retriever puppies due to their winning personalities.
As long as he is socialised from a young age the Golden Retriever should get along with both cats and small animals.

More Information on Golden Retriever Puppies
Historically, Goldies were used as gun dogs, and possess extremely soft mouths, enabling them to carry waterfowl without damaging the bird.
Golden retrievers have two coats, a dense inner coat, and a sleek water repellent outercoat, which helps given their eagerness to get wet at every opportunity.
The Golden Retriever was created in Scotland by in the late 19th century by crossing a number of breeds: bloodhounds, Irish Setters, the St. John’s Water Dog of Newfoundland, and black retrievers.
Sir Dudley Marjoribanks was behind this creation in a bid to create a retriever that could cross greater expanses of ground.
