Dalmatians are probably the most recognisable breed thanks to the film “101 dalmatians.”

This dog can make a great family pet, but Dalmatian puppies can grow quite large. They grow from 22″ to 24″ (56 to 61cm) tall and can weigh 50 to 55 pounds (23 to 25kg).

Dalmatian puppies come in three colours, white with black spots, white with liver (brown) spots and white with lemon spots. They have a short coat which is very low maintenance which only needs brushing rarely to remove dead hair.

Dalmatians are best suited to homes with large gardens but will still need to be walked on a regular basis as they were originally bred to run marathons.
For an active family, Dalmatian puppies are an ideal family pet, but should be supervised around small children because of their endless energy.
