Being a small breed, they relied more on their shrill bark, than stature.  On average they will grow to about 8”-11” (20-28cm), and should weight about 13-15 pounds (6-7 kg).

They are characterised by a small, cute, bearded muzzle and bright eyes, but the coats of Lhasa Apso puppies can be high maintenance, requiring daily grooming to prevent mats and tangles. Many owners choose to have their Lhasa Apso professionally clipped every four to six weeks to cut down on time expended disentangling their dog’s double coat.

Lhasa Apso puppies come in a number of colours: golden, sandy, honey, dark, grizzle, slate, smoke, black, white, part-colour or brown.

Despite originating from Tibet, Lhasa Apso puppies are highly adaptable to most environments, as long as they can be taken on a few short walks a day.

Their temperament makes them ideal family pets, as they enjoy attention and affection, although they can be overly-suspicious of strangers which need to be remedied by early, consistent training.

All Dogs4Us Lhasa Apso puppies come with a 6 month guarantee and are temporary vaccinated, wormed and microchipped for identification.  Please call us prior to visiting should you be interested in buying a Lhasa Apso, so we can check availability.
